Policies

Please read! So so important!!

All deposits are nonrefundable. No worries, it goes towards the final service price. A deposit is required to book and hold your appointment. If a deposit is not made within a week after scheduling, there is no guarantee your date will still be available, the person who pays the deposit first will have priority. If an appointment is canceled and not rebooked within 6 months you forfeit your deposit and have to put another deposit down if you wish to book another appointment in the future. Six months after cancelling your appointment and you do not receive a service, that deposit credit is not transferable. —ie. I cancelled my appointment in May because I don’t want to worry about the sun but rebooked for October so my deposit can be held for that appointment. If I then rebook again for after the holidays and book it in January, I will now have to pay another deposit since it is eight months past my original appointment.—

Late policy: If you are more than 20 minutes late, it will count as a no-show. Your card will be charged $200. I have a specific amount of time booked for each service so a loss of 20 minutes results in not having enough time for your full appointment. A no show results in forfeiting your deposit. Another deposit must be made in order to book your future appointment. If you’re 10-15 minutes late for a touchup or freckle appointment this may result in having to reschedule too as it’s a shorter appointment time.

Cancelation Policy: A no-show or cancellation without a 48 hour notice (before the date of your appointment) forfeits your $100 deposit. Plus your card will be automatically charged $200. It is NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY to cancel or reschedule it for you. There’s an option to cancel or reschedule on the confirmation emails/texts. Emailing me, texting, messaging, and calling to tell me you would like to cancel does not cancel the appointment, you must do so online.

This includes switching from artist to artist after 48 hour notice (date of appointment)

. An additional $100 deposit will be required in order to book a future appointment.

This cancellation policy applies to the touchup appointments as well.

8-12 week touchup: This costs $150. This is optional and sometimes not needed. Same cancellation policy applies, you must cancel with a 48 hour notice. If you no show or cancel within the notice you will need to pay the amount of your touchup appointment of $150. IF YOU COME TO THIS APPOINTMENT WITH COMPROMISED EYEBROWS (I.E. SUN DAMAGED) WE WILL HAVE TO RESCHEDULE SINCE I CANNOT WORK ON DAMAGED SKIN. This means you will have to pay the cancellation price because it is a day-of cancellation. You MUST stay with your original artist.

3 to 4 month touchup: I offer this for those who want another session to touch up their brows. Some PMU heals lighter than others because of lifestyle or skin type, and some people decide they’d like to go thicker or darker after their initial session! This is not a required service, I offer this for those who want a touchup but are after the 10 weeks. This costs $275. You MUST stay with your original artist.

Annual touchup: I offer a discount for my regular clients. $350 for your annual touchup no matter the service. It is NOT my responsibility to remind you when this is. I ask that you please set a reminder in your phone, or put it in your calendar to remind yourself to book your annual touchup. You can always pre-book with me a year in advance if you’d like. After 2 or 3 years (depending on your service) the price will reset. These are not always necessary but if you want to get the discount you have to be within that window of time otherwise you do NOT get the discount. For example: Suzi’s original service was June 19th 2020, she had a touchup 8-12 weeks after. Her annual touchup can be any time within that window the following year or any time after. If she doesn’t need it she can wait until the fall of 2021. Or even the spring of 2022. But after that the price will reset. We always go over this at your appointment so no need to worry. You MUST stay with your original artist. Otherwise it’s a new service.

If you do not follow Mixed Beauty’s Pre Treatment care, it will affect the healed product.

You cannot be sick or on antibiotics while getting PMU. You must be off antibiotics 2-3 weeks before your service.

AFTER TWO YEARS (THREE FOR VELVET & HYBRID BROWS) FROM INITIAL APPOINTMENT THE PRICE WILL RESET (Annual touchup discount will expire).

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Everyone heals and accepts the pigment differently. I provide the same quality of service for every client but retention is dependent on your skin type, lifestyle, environmental factors, and how closely you follow pre and post treatment care.

  • Permanent makeup is a two way street: as the artist it is my responsibility to give you the best service so when you leave you feel confident and heard about your brows and most of all, feeling beautiful. When you step out of Mixed Beauty, it is your responsibility to take the best care possible of your brows to ensure they heal correctly. There are NO GUARANTEES as to how your body will heal, every body is different. Sometimes if your pores are big, or you have oily skin, they may fade more or blur. If you sleep on one side more than the other, that side may fade more or become patchy. Since no one knows how you will heal, this is a potential risk all clients take and should understand when consenting to this procedure. This is why there is a touchup service available to you. It may take more than one session for some people to complete their brows.

  • You are NOT a good candidate for microblading you have large pores or Oily/Severely Oily Skin, your results will appear softer and powdered as opposed to the crisp, hair-like strokes. The reason is oil will eat away at the pigment and push it out. The Velvet brow would be a better option for you.You have large pores or Oily/Severely Oily Skin, your results will appear softer and powdered as opposed to the crisp, hair-like strokes. The reason is oil will eat away at the pigment and push it out. The Velvet brow would be a better option for you.

  • If you are in the sun a lot, have oily skin, use anti-aging creams, retinA/retinol products, cleansers with active ingredients, regular chemical peels, laser or exercise frequently during the healing process, your permanent makeup WILL fade quicker. The better you take care of the treated area and follow the provided aftercare, the longer it will last. Always wear sunscreen on your eyebrows. You must protect your brows with 20% zinc if you get laser treatments as this will protect the laser from altering the color which is difficult to correct. Wait at least 2 months after procedure for any of these listed above.

  • Nobody’s face is symmetrical and it is best to be realistic with your expectations. I map out your brows based on your bone structure and measure them to make sure they are 100% symmetrical. That being said, the brows could technically be symmetrical but when put on an asymmetrical canvas they could look uneven. I measure again once you stand up and work with you to make brows that look as close to twins as possible. Sometimes there will be things I cannot correct because of bone structure being asymmetrical. For example, one brow bone could be dominant/protrude farther out than the other, some people have a stronger muscle on one side vs the other, you may have one eye socket deeper than the other and even the side you sleep on plays a factor!

There’s the saying brows are sisters not twins. Well, when you come to me I will try to make them as twin-like as possible! But even identical twins have different personalities;)

There are no exceptions to these policies. My time and my client’s time are very valuable. I block out a specific amount of time for each appointment when the deposit is paid. If I have a no-show or cancellation, it results in time lost that could have been spent with another client.

I always look forward to enhancing your natural beauty to help you feel like the beautiful human you are. Thank you!
